Its a minutes silence for me. I know what you mean regarding the idiots but we should not change things just for a few scum bags.
Hear, hear. Like I said about the numpties who reckoned they were being funny during the Watene silence, if you can't show respect to deceased rugby league figures, REGARDLESS of where they are associated from, you're following the wrong sport. Very good of the RFL to allow the minute's silence to be carried out before all matches this weekend.
Can we please pass the message on to the turnstyle operators and ask them to stop letting people in during the minutes silence as this is the only noise problem I've heard during are all too frequent moments of reflection.

"Quote" But perhaps most impressive is another bumper Wildcats home crowd – 9,237 for a Saturday TV game in the cold and wet is a fine effort from one of Super League’s most progressive clubs "Gareth Walker the Mirror"

I remember the silence before the Salford v Wakefield game after the World Trade Centre bombing. That was quite eerie if I recall, quietest silence I have ever heard - if that makes any sense, at a ground I mean. That day had so many emotions with it.

Your optimism is greater than mine. Do you really expect the greater Wakefield public to get off their arses and go to Belle Vue when its on the telly ?
I`m in the minutes silence camp, a time for quiet reflection and more dignified in my opinion. I hope the Club will prime the Stewards to look out for anyone not showing due respect and haul them out during the spontaneous applause which always follows the silence. I would like to see them `named and shamed` as well, Wakefield, indeed Rugby League in general, does not need these morons, all clubs may have them, but we don`t have to tolerate them.

I really don't feel that there will be a problem with a minutes silence. The minutes silence before the Salford game for Adam was impeccably (or it seemed to be from where I was stood) respected.
"In fairness the Wildcats spluttered sporadically. When they were good they were very, very good and when they weren’t - they gave away penalties."
