Just curious what’s bringing on the massive wave of blind love for London this past few weeks.
Keep seeing sympathetic articles and fans of all clubs saying they deserve to stay up. Coach of the year for Eccles etc.
I mean they are performing far worse than Trinity did last season on an off the field yet Trinity were ridiculed for being bottom and other things.
Obviously the only thing London can do is drum up sympathy but they are essentially in every way a championship club in SL.
I feel like it’s a sympathy vote and everyone likes the underdog I guess.
Just a stark contrast with how we as a club were treated.
London are seemingly praised for low crowds for making the effort and praised in losses. A lot of talk to try get the whole system scrapped just because it’s not fair on London.
I don’t know if I’m missing something but I don’t get it at all. You’d think a club that offer far less than us and have failed even more than us historically in SL there eould be less uproar.
I have no issue with London and they win promotion in 2024 fairly but I must be missing something.

I thought we got some praise when we started winning some but I think the difference is London offers no challenge as a club to others. No one at Hull or Cas are cheering them on.
I like an underdog story and wanted them to beat Hull but I don't want them to change the rules to get them in.

I remember we came in for a lot of flack from clubs and fans alike. For the pitch, dug out chairs and performances.
It would give me no greater pleasure than to see trinity get in SL and really upset a few clubs next season.
You can also throw in the moaning about the loss of players who are being picked up by other clubs.. Everyone knows that when your ship looks like it’s going down, agents start ringing round to get their players on any available lifeboat. It happens to all clubs..it was our turn last year.

They've won three games, Hull being a basket case is the only reason these murmurings are surfacing.
As it stands through owner has neglected the club massively which means they are a shell and not the type of club IMG want in the top flight. London as a region I see as important, but the current London club isn't. They knew the rules when they signed up to this structure, and as a sport we need to stick with a plan for more then 1 year.
