And our friends with disabilities have a cracking view of the game now after years of being shoehorned into that shed in the far corner , and their toilets were cavernous. On a sour note , a lad who peddled to the ground had his bike nicked even with the bike being padlocked , if no one is patrolling the bike sheds during the game it’s going to be a free for all for the local low life’s , and absolutely no one is going to use them and they will just take up valuable space around the ground .

The bike sheds will have been a planning requirement. Part of a sustainable travel plan. Planners live in an ideal world and theft won't have been part of their consideration.

Sure I read somewhere someone had their bike nicked Friday night.

Easy to sort....
I'll just send Mrs BG and the daughter round to BV as they leave everything switched on....
That'll test the Generator......

You mean box ticking, never in my 5o years of coming to Belle Vue have I seen anyone peddle there :D

There must be some full time employees or even players who will cycle to and from the place?
I certainly would, staying on the road and using lights whenever necessary.

More to the point, I don't think it will be long before they get trashed. I too was thinking of cycling in in the summer but perhaps not now.

I’m not sure I’d want to cycle with the pedestrians and traffic congestion post and pre game. It’s certainly an increased risk for all three groups. It will have likely been to tick boxes for environmental and sustainability actions with a view to working towards net zero in the future and potentially limiting offsetting.

Perhaps the intention was more for it to be used for staff and players who regularly use it.

The simplest solution for game day if it is to be used is to explore the possibility of getting a gate or lockable barrier for which it can be secured at kick off. Also introduce it into regular security checks.

Top six 2005 - Trinity.

Of course it is. I have never worked at a place where bike sheds haven't been provided.

I know at least one, but they use the bike lockers at the railway station.
