Regardless of whether the try is good or not he needs to learn to control his emotions about it. It's only going one way if you start reacting to it.
He didn’t get binned for his reaction though it appears. Powell said he scored a try and ref thought Bain had kicked it away so binned him. That came from Powell not me.
Had the try been given (which Powell said he believed was a try) then would Bain have got binned?
If it transpires he didn’t score the try and did kick the ball etc and got binned or got binned for appealing to the ref then that’s fine but from the post match interview it doesn’t appear to be the case.
I do have one other issue… if Bain did appeal to the ref then why was he instantly binned. Take Momorovski in the Leeds game who swore at the ref and argued not once but a few times with the ref and still didn’t get binned. It’s not very consistent at all.
Maybe this wouldn’t be an issue if there were in goal judges though. I believe there was another try Whitehaven scored which was given as held up but pictures circulating looks like a try. It’s not great really.
Agree about controlling emotions but it was also a crucial score in a tight game too and it’s hard to do if a player feels very strongly he’s scored. Hopefully all this won’t be an issue if we are back in SL and games are televised. How many times in a game do we see players run to ref and appeal for things including try’s or that a players held up.
