TBF he knew from day one that there was no cash, it wasn't hidden from him. He took a gamble and I admire that.

Also, it's worth noting that despite the criticism he got, he very nearly pulled it off, there was a brief moment when it looked possible - not many relegated coaches can say that.

I reckon there is a very good coach in that lad, certainly a SL assistant in a few years time.

I still reckon that the dropped ball by Lineham against Cas ultimately cost us our super league place. But we would be struggling at the foot again, even with Matt Ellis in charge, so no complaints from me.

The try disallowed because Ashurst was in the 10 was the killer. Cas would've been broken had it been given
