I have every confidence we will bear Leeds and none of the middle 8s scenarios will happen.
I still believe Chester is the man to lead us.

You're a brave man PT!
Personally, this season I wouldn't put a penny on Wakefield winning any of their games because they're so inconsistent. Even against 'poor' teams.
The frustrating thing is the talent is their to do much better.
I agree about CC but I will have even more confidence in him if he has learnt from puzzling team selections.

I remember the great Henry Cooper once saying. 'When you fight an Italian in Italy, you have to knock him out to get a draw'

Friday night will be even harder, Mr Hicks will make sure of that !!!

Victory against Huddersfield and Catalan have put us into the dogfight to avoid the bottom 4 and victories against either Leeds or Huddersfield (or even Hull) will make us safe.
This is entirely in our own hands but, we need a performance sooner, rather than later.
Despite criticism on here for saying that Catalan and Huddersfield were in good form, only to be put down and told that neither side had beaten anyone decent, we seem to have sleep walked into a dangerous position.
We need to treat each of our last 3 games as MPG's (or cup finals).
Leeds will throw everything they have at us on Friday, as they tried to do at Cas in the early part of the game and we have to match them blow for blow until they break.
However bad we think our own form is currently, Leeds' is far, far worse and despite their new coaching set up, their confidence will be almost zero.
5 drives and a kick will do and let Leeds make the mistakes coming out with the ball.

Yeah, that's one way of looking at it! The point is, those games were there to be won as we competed well in them, but couldn't quite get over the line could we. Leeds at home, something like 8 in front with 10 to go and we lost. Cas at home over Easter, Hull away lost by a point. I remember people saying, we'll be ok because we play Catalans, Hudds, Widnes etc. But it's all history now, i'm quietly confident we can do Leeds on Friday, but if we don't, then it is real nervy times.....

If all referees' are as bent as some people on here would have you believe, well what's the point in it all, we might as well pack it all in now.

Nothing to do with refs, some strange selections, really poor game management throughout whole season, right hand side defense weakness mainly due to coach playing a prop at second row, that is what has cost us points this season. We need to learn to play a conservative, measured, low risk game. In spells in some games this season we managed to do this, Wigan at home was a good example where for several plays we looked like the team knew what play was on, who would be taking the ball and where we would be finishing the set. Most of the season we have looked disorganized and unstructured. We have looked at our best when Hampshire is at 7, Randell at 9 , Woody coming of the bench, Jowitt at full back, Batch in the second row, and most importantly Paulie coming of the bench for very short spells and playing in the middle. You have got to wonder what the coaching team discuss when you see some of the selections they make. Also always take the two and lets learn a structured drop goal set.

[quote="bellycouldtackle"]Nothing to do with refs,

Nothing to do with refs??? Think CC and all the other Trinity fans would disagree with that remark after the Saints away game. We would be in a far more secure situation now.

Wakefield could be in real trouble if results go the way they are at the moment with both Catalan & Huddersfield looking like their heading for unlikely victories.
