Surely this is down to Chester's tactic more than anything though, I have noticed if its not one of the backs taking one for the forwards it usually goes to the first man from Randell and they take it back in towards the ruck. I remember Peter Sharp talking about this behind the ruck play, wearing down the middle for 20/30 minutes and switching it around when with an interchange hooker comes on and playing more expansive. Looks like it is straight out of the same text book!
