I will never forget his rallying calls for the support for Bradford Bulls when they were in dumps financially, he even organised some sort of charity event to help them out. Yet when Wakefield were in there hour of need there was not a word from his mouth.

Anyway all that aside there is no denying his success at Leeds, I think his downfall in the end was his stubbornness to replace the ageing players, he got the timing all wrong IMO.

I'm currently volunteering at YEP and we're trying to get him in for an interview. Might be something to bring up! (obviously I won't be in there)

Wrong there my friend. He and Tony Smith spoke out against the vultures picking our 2011 admin rotting carcass.

I work with a few Whinos & they have been calling for his head since Sinfield retired, despite the Grand Final win last year! You just can’t please some people & he ain’t exactly Mr Popular.

Hope we don’t see another good English coach go over to the dark side .
Whatever you think about Wayne and McDermott ,they are on the top of their game.
I’m not a fan of his sometimes arrogant personality myself but he would be another big loss to Rl if he takes his ball n bat Home and goes to union .

Players like Sinfield, Maguire and Burrow don't come around very often, and the latter two were part of their own academy. I think they were fortunate that they were around at the same time.

None of their more recent pool of home grown players have lived up to their standard, so they need to look beyond their own academy.

Unfortunately for Leeds, this hasn't happened which surprised me.

Wonder if with all the recent developments of the stadium, as to whether they have had to kerb their spending on players.

With this and their injury plight, he's had a tough and thankless job really since winning the treble. That said about their injuries, he was quite harsh on us in 2015, when we were struggling.

Who'd be a coach
