I'm so very sorry, this is another tragic event no one should have to face. My condolences to all at the club and his family- I'm sure Wakefield will come through this a stronger club.

A fantastic lad and a very hard comitted player, had the pleasure of working with him a couple of years ago, and always found him to be a great lad full of life and talent. He was a real hard lad on the field and a larger than life off it.

Me and my friend showed up at Cats bar to watch the game when it was announced that a message had been received saying the game had been called off due to the death of Leon and I think the stunned silence that followed said it all.
Tragic for anyone so young to lose their life when there was so much ahead. It must be devastating for his family, friends and colleagues, I cannot imagine how they're coping with the suddenness of this tragedy. I have no doubt our community will support them at this cruel time and I offer my sincerest condolences and prayers.
Very sad news for Wakefield Wildcats, and RL as a whole. We've all lost a brother, a player of the greatest game.
RIP Leon, I didn't know you but you died playing for the club I love, and for wearing that shirt alone you earned my respect. I am so sorry that you were taken away from us before your time.
