Richard Agar Mark 2. Picking the underperforming favourites, ie Finn and Kirmond. No leaders on the field to give the players a bollocking. If Scruton was here he'd be raging at them for that start.

Agree with you there also playing players like hirst at starting prop but cos he is that poor cant bring him back on apart from last five mins.

The impression I get from his demeanour and interviews etc is that he doesn’t have a rollocking (or similar) in him. Would like to think that’s not the case but I sure don’t see it. The team seem also to play like it.

Not something you could say about Kear.

Chester said on R Leeds rocky did well at F B but he see him more of a half .Why does he not play him at S H because if he does not i can see us in the bottom 4 and with if Finn is still in the team do not think we will be in S L NEXT YEAR

Yep. Have to agree. Hampshire definitely plays...and Finn shouldn't for a while.
Problem is, who do we play at full back?

I think jowitt at full back,The way he as been pushed to one side since Grix came is shocking .And it looks as if the same is happening to Johnson

I thought at one point Chester was resting Johnstone to take care of him but it now seems like more and more Chester doesn’t rate him. TJ is the best back I’ve seen ever come through the ranks at trinity and is on the GB team books but can’t get a regular run. What it must do for the lads confidence too when he knows if he makes one error that he gets dropped for 1-2 weeks. How is him or any player supposed to find any form.

Many people have commented that this is the best squad we have assembled for some time, problem seems to be Chester doesn't actually know what his best 17 is.

He seems unable or unwilling to give the fringe players an extended run in the team.
What is the point of having contracts invested in some of these players if they aren't going to be utilised.

Ive no doubt not everyone will agree, but these are just my personal observations.

We have a young back rower(Batchelor) that we tied to a long term contract, but has his path blocked by a "past his sell by" Kirmond and a 31 year old overseas player (Horo)

We have a young full back(Jowitt),again that we tied to a long term deal, but as shown today Chester won't select him, preferring to select a lad (Hampshire) who was signed as back up to the halves.

Chester won't drop Finn, although he's been great value for money,he's simply not good enough now.
Im far from convinced Hampshire is the solution, but that isn't a good enough reason to allow Finn to continue getting the gig.

Caton Brown, was selected over Johnstone today, unless Johnstone was injured, simply mind boggling selection.

Im afraid Chester strikes me as the type of person, that is totally stubborn and will stick with his selections, even when all around are wondering.........which his prerogative.
The victory of a HKR team missing many players only served to paper over the cracks.
We are on a downward spiral at the wrong point of the season,Catalans and Huddersfield are picking up points and looking at our next 4 fixtures we could be become firmly entrenched in the middle 8s dogfight.

Something has to change,a defeat against Widnes and i think Chester may have a twitchy bum!!!
