You can’t and should t carry two hookers on bench or any player just in case of injury.
Vagana can cover SR or Prop. A lot of our success has been down to forward power. That’s needed more than ever in the finals.
Agree, and to add Vagana has looked better each game he's played since returning from injury, he's a huge problem for defences and it usually takes 3/4 people to stop him or get him down. I really like Vagana, he seems to have a high ceiling for me as a player. he's athletic, good gas tank, has good size and is still growing, obviously has good DNA and he can spell at prop or do the 80 at SR.Out of all our overseas forwards, even though Rodwell and Uele have shone more this year, I think if Vagana hadn't been hurt for so long we'd be talking about him as well. I expect big things from him next season.

Kay’s versatility over the back line is priceless, tough decisions to be made by Powell. Great to have competition in our squad ,can only bring the best out of the players
I’d be happy with either of them at ‘17’ to be honest. If all goes to plan, Vagana would be a nightmare for defenders after Rodwell and Uele have done a bit of extra damage. But if it doesn’t go to plan and any of our players who probably aren’t 100% (McGilvary, Lino, Gale, Hood) pull up, Kay stops that being the story of the game.
One other possibility is Walmsley. McGilvary and Olpherts start, Walmsley provides cover (straight onto the wing or FB, or allows Max to push up into the halves if Gale or Lino are knackered). But again, might not play at all and that would be a waste of a spot.
Good they both need game time before the play off's start, the coaches need to see them in action too they're going to have to make some pretty big calls in the coming days
We need to score 62 points to reach 1000 points in the regular season. Don't think we will but it would be one helluva way to round the league campaign off !
Think Powell’s answered my selection questions for the playoffs. McGilvary and Olpherts, Gale and Lino. Only question now is whether it’s Kay, Vagana or Walmsley on the last bench spot!

Has to be Vagana off todays showing.
I will say though I’m not impressed by how loose we’ve been with the ball these past 2 games. Not completing numerous sets being too adventurous and mistakes creeping in putting us under pressure that could otherwise be avoided.
We are more likely to be punished for these in playoffs.
Very impressed with our forwards today mind. Big yards from them. Right edge has looked a touch shaky in defence but has managed to scramble a few times.
