And can I ad, think it shows, it does not matter how well you play .you do not keep the shirt ,you just get dropped for the first choice player ,as soon as he is fit.

Dagger wasn't actually dropped.
He missed the game after Huddersfield because he was injured.
He just didn't get chosen to come back in.

I still wanted him in but just clarifying why.

I picked up on the pass to the floor, missed tackle when they scored on the wing and dropped ball when we were through. 75% of our wins were without him in the team. Kay, Dagger and Gale should all be playing week in week out in my opinion.

GRIFFIN drops a ball ,they score ,LINEHAM drops a ball they score two try's in the last 5 minutes of first half. A forward makes a 40\50 yard run up the field in second half Lino was the only one who could be arst chasing after him .,he dropped the ball ,the but the pass was bad as he was been swung round by tackeler The try we did not get for a forward pass,in the second half by Lynn ,was set up by Lino .Question were was Gale .And Hood in the match just saw two kicks from Gale and did not see any go forward from the hooking role till KAY came on Just so easy to blame one played in one more shocking display .The main reason we are playing like we are is down to the COACHES who are way out of there depths and they have had enough cash this year to get it right but they are no were near good enough

POP TART can I put it this way When we played Leeds we had the youngest team we have had out since the season started Think there was just four old forwards on the park ,Dave,Ashurst,Proctor, and Pitts The three-quarters line had Kershaw ,the young French winger and Croft The rest of the pack was made up of younger forward including the young French forward and Eseh .Dagger was at 6 That performance was good to watch ,plenty of speed in every thing you got to do in rugby to win and good performance from all 17 players in the squad. That team as been changed so much to bring back in all the old players , that apart from a few got us a 15 losing start to the season . We have just done a full circle apart from when we played the youngsters who were kicked out of the team as soon as the coach could get rid Seems the old players can play bad week in week out but if you are young one mistake and your out

I agree with you.
Except we also won a game or two with older ones.

I'm absolutely with you that the younger team is preferable.
But individually some of those players deserved their place too.
You can't honestly say you'd pick Smith and Dagger at halves instead of playing Gale surely? It worked against Leeds but that doesn't mean it will always work.

Against Leeds, Fifita, Battye, Ashurst, Pitts all played.

Since the Leeds game Hewitt, Smith, Franco, Salabio have not been available.

The next game we won was against Salford.
Lineham, Lyne, Gale, Bowden, Hood, Battye,Pitts, Ashurst, Kay and Fifita all played.
So it isn't just young v old. It's the right players and right balance.
Mash got loads of grief after playing Kay at 13 when we lost but don't seem to remember he was outstanding previously there.

My only point really is that I don't like it when people blindly criticise Mash using examples that just don't make sense....not you
I of course agree with you that a younger team is better and that our squad has too many old players in key positions, but imagine the grief Mash would get if he played the team from Leeds game as his starting lineup all season.

Think we would have won more matches with the team that started against Leeds.from what I saw last Friday Can not understand how Proctor is in the team.plays about 15\20 minutes then he is gone it is like playing a game with a sub injured Think the Gale bubble as burst was poor at Hull and against Cas, Hood is one more, that I can not see what he brings to the team he was shocking against Cas, Will get shot down for this but Kay as got to be one of the most consistent performers this season (.and came within a foot of scoring a try with a great dash against Cas) should be above Hood in the 9 role .Time to give the youngster a chance it is not working with the old player .Just for the record I rate Dagger, but I do defend Lino, because he gets the stick when there are players having worse games, and hiding on the pitch

Added to a couple of sets he lost direction and ended up running it into oncoming forwards. His kicking game isn’t great either, it’s pretty much a high kick to the left defending corner.

As much as I aren’t happy with his form I will 1000% cheer him on if he pulls the shirt on.

I would go with Gale and Dagger though. Seems more balanced.
