I will add a bit more there jinjer. I can't remember the last time Woody had a bad game. He was doing 80 minutes last season and getting MoM awards. Now he still looks good when on the field and livens us up and never puts in a bad game, yet he is lucky to get on for 20minutes at most. I have said it on another thread, Finn should have been pulled after 10 minutes and Woody would have done a far better job at 7.

How can we as mere fans see this but the coaching staff don’t or worse still ignored .
I know a lot of subtle things go on in the modern game which may not be apparent to the average fan .
It always opens my eyes when a player goes through the thought processes after a game on sky.
But surely our problem areas are well documented, that’s why teams target them ,by doing their homework .
I can take a loss everyday of the week if we have put the effort in,but all too often this season some players are running their blood to water and others are coasting and not putting the effort in.
Like I’ve said before last night was an ideal opportunity to inprint on young kids minds that There are other great sports to watch besides football ,but apart from some Johnstone magic there wasn’t a lot to Cheer about being a wakey fan .

He got a lot of stick for it IIRC but alegend touched upon the fact Chester doesn't trust the young guys. Let's face it Jowitt and Hampshire only played cos Finn and Grix got injured, Finn's now back Jowitt's out, wonder what's going to happen when Grix gets fit again?

I am a chester fan ! However he appears to hanker after how Finn played last year when we had a run of wins. He lost grix & then Finn this year, what is puzzling is he invested time with grix to extend runs with Hampshire & max & in his words build a pivotal relationship, we started to see progress & then he threw it all in the bin !!! Went back to what he thought he would get back but I am afraid its back fired, how will he get it back to looking to the future whilst picking up wins now, ?
We will see, up the train !

Grix will come in as did finn.shocking by chester he loves his favs and is too loyal to them.we are in serious danger of been in bottom 4 now has i wouldnt be supprised if we lose all our remaining games and that middle 8 is gonna be harder than ever

I haven't watched the game on TRINITYTV yet but the Sky Try highlights show Finn is only marginally to blame for one try and it is as much Lyne as Finn.

It is a poor partnership on that right hand side. To be fair though, Lyne wasn't doing the last tackle kicks and threatened far more with ball in hand.

It's not just Finn's missed tackles that lead to Catalan try's it was is over all game. Kicking very bad ,stood still while passing ball.I can recall 5 hospital passes he sent out which lead to poor ball retention .The main problem is he is too slow to cover any gaps, so the Centre is having to stand further in field leaving a bigger gap between him and the winger .It,s a thing teams have notice and this is why teams are attacking down that side most of the time.
