This should suit him better than the impossible job he had last year. Will allow himself to learn the role without the spot light of SL and rebuild reputation as a decent young coach.
York could suit him really well. Although they havent had the best start to their season, there is huge potential at York and if he get's it right, it could be a great move. It's impossible to judge too much form last season, he was dealt a very poor hand from the off. Good luck to him.
Not sure why people are saying it’s hard to judge him in last year when we got nilled 5 times in a row and it took 17 games to win a game but good luck to him all the same.

And he was landed with Lineham and Proctor, plus Atoni hadn't found his feet, key players had left, there were long term injuries to others...I'd say it wasn't hard to judge him, but reasonable observers would at the very least reserve judgement.

Well do you think he might have done better with the team Powell has? I do. That's why it's hard to judge.

The role came too soon for him, he was ill equipped to deal with the poor hand he'd been given and wad the cheap option. Having said that, in terms of squad ability, even now we struggle to create at a lower level and have relied upon brute strength to get us over the line so with largely the same pivots it's no surprise we were toothless at SL level.
