1. Crowd 6578 was not expecting that much, don't know if boy Sampson attracted anymore, difficult to tell how many Salford brought seemed quite a few behind the sticks as i walked round. On the other hand the size of our city we should be attracting more punters through the turnstiles especially with the start to the season we have had.Maybe its the cost to get in ?
2. Boy Sampson
Personally thought it was a complete waste of time and money spent on him, apart from all the kids round him could not see how it was of any benefit to anyone else in the ground. I had to ask my niece where he was, she pointed someone out in a green hooded top. This could have been anyone and there were kids at school with a bit of lino who were just as good.
3. Match
First half thought we controlled it without getting out of second gear. Second half thought we were very poor and their halfbacks ran the show. Very poor options on fourth and fifth tackle with forwards thinking they were playmakers.Certainly have to step up a few gears if we want to beat Warrington
The critic inside me aside with the players we have available before and then during the match it is a fantastic result and a brilliant start to the season.

Agreed. Good post!
I was expecting a few more people to turn up today but at £18 it's not cheap. Sampson was waste of money I thoguht but no doubt the younger ones enjoyed it and it is important to keep them happy but at the end of the day I go for rugby and atmosphere
1..rubbish
2..got some kids in who were brought by their parents, 5 whinos i know of..salford how many ?? celtic will probably bring more.
3..dominated first half, grix injured and 19-0 up in the second and in control..why risk anything second half?? job done for me.
Well if young sampson was a waste of time it would be interesting to see when was the last time we had a crowd of 6500 against salford. As for the second half of the game i dont know if you noticed but we did'nt a half back on the field.

re Sampson... I did not know who he was, did not watch hin etc as was busy with the Adam Watene stall... BUT when I arrived inside the ground at 2 there must have been 1000 folk queing up to get his autograph and if they all enjoyed the game and come back next week then its all worthwhile.
