Running up cricket scores recently seems to have had a detrimental effect on our game ,looking at our at times lacklustre performance with too much one man rugby for my liking . Taking nothing away from Barrow who rallied after those early scores against and at times were the most enterprising with ball in hand .But a wins a win no matter what . Fev should be a hum dinger that’s for sure
We have to accept that was a truly awful performance today yet we won because we are full time and it gives us that bit of resilience in spite of being very poor. Its left me very worried for the season ahead when it comes to the games that will define it and our future
It's all about winning. You get no further in a cup competition playing great open flowing good on the eye rugby. During this season I suspect there'll be occasions where we don't perform as well as other times, but being full time, I'm not sure many if any can live with us.

We have a fair amount of strike power out. Jerry, Thornley, lino, Doyle, Kay. Playing poor and winning by 18 points for me sums up where we are. Look what happened in previous seasons when we played poor.
I didn’t think we were in too much danger of loosing the game. The variety of kicks the Barrow lads put in tended to keep us guessing and certainly helped their cause in the poor conditions. We tackled well and our props kept us on the front foot throughout the game. So with a 30:12 score line in a cup game..I’m not moaning…. The frilly stuff finished last weekend and it’s going to start getting harder as the season progresses…there will be different challenges from different teams and we need to make sure that we’re prepared… but so far we’ve achieved this… Also thought Brad Walker was great for Barrow yesterday..
Pat and Belle Vue with some of the most sensible posts on this thread. Barrow gave us a game which is what we wanted. One would think we lost the way a couple are going on here.
Job done, it's all about getting through to the next round, which we did pretty comfortably. Conditions were awful for much of the game too. Barrow's in play kicking options were superb but, the moment of the match was Harvey Smith's solo effort.
Probably going to be away at Bradford in the semi which will be another step up from yesterday.

Well get used to it because we aren't going to score 70 points every match ! Barrow gave us a game. It's exactly what we needed to stop complacency creeping in. I'm sure with some team adjustments there will be a big improvement at Featherstone!
