I don’t do Facebook or twitter and never will so this was my only way of engaging with like minded fans apart from on game days.Im first and foremost a Wakefield fan but also of the wider rugby league world . My idea of a forum is to express your views and observations without fear of being ridiculed or put down. A group of people can watch the same game and all have differing views on it ,and it’s these views that should make this forum interesting for its members .
We all see things differently, and may have different viewpoints, but ultimately, we are all Wakefield supporters and ultimately want the same thing.
I am a Trinity fan, but a fan of the sport in general, especially in grass roots. I'm on Facebook and Twitter, but only in two RL groups, but choose which debates to get involved with, as some I think are futile and pointless and can't be bothered. As for Twitter, just follow a few of the players, but not all.
We put this festival on you ba****ds With whole lotta love We worked for one year for you pigs And you wanna break our walls down And you wanna destroy Well you go to hell

Seriously, this site is in its death throes.
It's up to us whether we want to keep it alive.
Ideally, we'd have one or two suitable candidates willing to help out with the moderating, but it's a thankless task and pretty time consuming. Pop Tart deserves praise for his firefighting efforts, but he's really swimming against the tide with the trolls and bickering egos. How can one person cover all posts for 24 hours a day in their spare time? Newgroundb4Wakey would be my nominee. (or that Daddycool character? )
Alternatively, as Pop Tart alluded, we could all self-moderate.
Report/ignore/don't respond to trolls and personal attacks.
Try to keep your posts on topic and addressing the opinions given, not attacking individual posters.
Keep any personal 'banter' to the pm system.
It would be a shame to lose the good parts, but at the moment that's the way it's going.
We don't have (or want) a Cas-style echo chamber, the TRL club thread is empty, facebook is worse than this place.

This stops here. This is my very last comment on the matter as I will not be told off anymore.
Trinity18 is literally the only username I have on this board, I won't beat around the bush when it comes to this like Jean does on the VT. I'm not Homme Vaste as I'm not sad enough to argue with myself all day, I'm not TrinTrin nor would I ever think to call myself that and I found it absolutely disgusting what Wexford Trinity did in his short time on the forum.
I'm well invested in the forum now, I'm not sad enough to waste so much of my time on here all for a joke.

I've been a poster on this forum for the last three years or so, but a viewer for considerably longer. In that time I've read most of Vastman's contributions (many I've got fed up of reading about halfway through). Some I thought made, sense and were quite intelligent, others less so. I also recall him taking his (rugby) ball home and boycotting the forum for a while some tine ago. Perhaps if other posters looked upon him as the archetypal "pub bore" who knows everything about nothing. The type that everyone jokes about after he's left the pub. I personally don't mind him and take on board what I think is sense and ignore what I believe isn't. I would hate to see this board die, because all (or most) of us have Wakefield Trinity at heart.
