Bentham had an excellent game I thought, its easy to say that when you win, but I he got all the big calls right

and for Fergurson's try, gave it, without having tio go to the screen for 5 minutes of boredom....would like to see alot more referees backing theor own judgement and abstaining from the video ref.

Although I thought a finicky ref could have penalised alot of the ruck area, there was alot of lying on and the play the ball was slow for both sides, and I think across the shoulder and the facial seem to be Warringotn's mantra (strange how teams seem to have certain styles across the years).

"I thought we made big strides. At the top end of the field we contained them quite well, it was good defensively.

"What let us down a little bit were one or two poor penalties and, even then, in the first half we defended five sets on the line.

"But I'm real positive about what we can do and I still believe in what we can do. We're creating stuff so there's plenty to take out of it. The guys were enthusiastic right to the end and they played their hearts out this week."

It will look good on his CV - lets face it he's going to be needing it shortly.

Jimmy Lowes is looking over his shoulder.

"Our defence was good" - we scored 8 tries.

"Wakefield wouldn't have got out of their half if it wasn't for a couple of silly penalties" - how the hell did we score the other 6 tries?

He then went on to say that "Wakefield scored a couple of soft tries" - what through this apparently strong defence - I think in his fear of unemployment he has lost his mind.

We outplayed, out-ethused them, and were the better player 1-17, despite the fact that Stosic and George only played about 15 mins between them.

Stosic - any news - looked Achilles to me?

Whilst I admit Bentham didn't go on one of his stamp-out-an offence crusades, I think we should give a big rap to the Wakey team for playing with great discipline and cutting out those sillly offences.

Either we have got cuter,or weve have stopped doing the silly little things. The little tug of the ankle etc....has often been our downfall.

The other i notice over the last two games in particular is our completion rate.
I could be wrong but it appears(i havent seen any stats)that our ball retention has dramatically improved on last year.Over the games with Salford and Wire this has been evident, you need possesion to build pressure.

Just watched the game back on the Sky + and saw the interview with Lowes. To be honest I actually felt quite sorry for the bloke. He seemed scared and very nervous.

Bottomline IMHO is no coach should be axed 3 games into a new season.

I feel for the Warrington fans as they have an excellent squad but they never foreful their so called top team status.

IMHO I think the finger should be pointed at some of the players, not the coach. Some players are paid far too much and they get away with putting in below average performances week after week. I hope Lowes is a strong enough coach to put into practise what he said the previous week re if players aren't and don't perform they will be dropped. I think many of the Warrington players need a good kick up the backside and a wake up call. I'm sure if Lowes was man enough to do this then the players would respond and I'm sure the fans would respect that and hopefully get behind him.

Good luck to him but he's got a hell of a job on his hands.

I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.

Either Lowes thought he was Wakey's coach or the comments were actually made by JK and mistakenly attributed to Lowes :D
