no he didnt, he set certain standards in his first season and fell well below them last season. he looks to have bulked up a bit and looks a lot fitter this time. he got himself in the right places to score last night and deserved his hat trick but mom not for me, drew by a mile followed by martin
WAKEFIELD FANS ARE BORN, NOT MANUFACTURED.WE DO NOT CHOOSE, WE ARE CHOSEN. THOSE WHO UNDERSTAND NEED NO EXPLANATION. THOSE WHO DONT, DONT MATTER.
Thought criticsm of Blaymire of last year was harsh, been his second full season in the first team, because he has the credentials I want to see in a full back: namely his positional play and his sweep are excellent, has a knack of been there right place, right time and willing to put his body on the line.
It really is brilliant to see Matt playing well for wakefield and to see him getting the right returns for his hard work over the years (and of course the earlier years spent with Wakefiled as a youngster). having known the lad and followed his career from the early days through to York and his year in Australia, it really is good to see him scoring well and gracing our satelite screens. An excellent man of the match performance and just reward.
As a rugby league fan and nothing more, Matt and the whole squad at Wakefield are very exciting to watch.

Much improved yes but still pretty average in the grand scheme of things.
Back to your old self, full of bull. Some folk never change. Blaymire gave an object lesson in F/B play. Breaks, good position, tackles, defusing the bomb, support play and only one error. Had he been in a Wigan shirt you would be creaming yourself by now. Try taking the blinkers off, in any era Blaymire would be a very good F/B. Jeez there is hope for anyone if that ginger door mat Radlinski managed to become a legend.

I thought Blaymire was superb. TBF the lad probably shouldn't have even be playing due to a shin injury, but he stepped up and had an absolute blinder.
I've never doubted his positional or defensive skills as a FB. I have however questioned if he can step up his attacking game, come into the line and support our go forward. Tonight he did that and did it well and was rewarded with three excellent support play tries.
Big pat on the back for the lad, big heart and lots of potential. Let's hope he can stay injury free and continue to develop and establish himself as a quality SL FB.
I don't care if we win, lose or draw as long as the team gives 100% every week and each player wears the shirt with pride.

This lad among certain posters came in for some pretty unreasonable stick last season, but he has so far come back stronger and meaner than ever. It doesn't matter how they come about, but hat-tricks are hat-tricks. May that be the first of many Matty.
