The first round draw is later this month, I understand Siddal are the amateur team taking the place of Toronto as they are the reigning NCL Champions. |

Am I missing something (Like Toronto)? How can a League 1 Club decide which competition they enter? OK, I realise that they're on a different continent but they either want to compete in the European League or not (especially with their level of funding). |

In the League One Cup, if you're drawn away the home team has to pay towards your travel expenses. I know it's only from Brighouse but for a Mayfield or Newcastle for example, that could be most of the gate receipts gone before you even start. |

Call me naive, but I always understood that 'Rules were Rules'! The 'OPERATIONAL RULES' state that all teams which are Members of the RFL MUST compete in every competition. I don't care about anything, but it simply goes to show that the RFL can do whatever they want to further their own ends! They subsidise travel for Clubs playing in Toronto, SO WHY DO THEY BEND THE RULES FOR A NEW CLUB in a supposedly respected competition? |
