It would appear that there is considerable confusion about the status of York City Knights.
Yet again, and through no fault of our own making, we are in a situation which could affect the future of our Club and it is our old friends (the RFL) who will make the final decision.
Brilliant!
If YCK have folded then who will take their place in the Super 8's?
That said, if they really have folded then all of the Super 8 fixtures will be affected.
Don't hold your breath for yet another brilliant decision from the RFL!
It seems there might be a take over happening. Why people are blaming the rfl when they are working to save the club is beyond me. Talking to York fans it looks like the owner is to blame.

Why are clubs struggling ? The product on offer isn't good enough to tempt fans from their fron room or pub or wherever. Clubs have to get their act together and make it happen. The rfl with all it's faults can only do so much. The game is dying a long slow death and new blood is needed to keep it going.

The clubs themselves run the RFL. Until it is totally independent of the clubs and their limited views, the game will continue to be seen as something that exists and no more. There needs to be fundamental change, but if there is,I won't live to see it. Cougarmania showed a glimpse of the possibility, but was never developed with other changes to be a dynamic force to expand the game both on the field and the media. That was and still is the RFL biggest problem and it's weakness
