There are many things that are inexcusable, but from a person, i will not him a coach, that spent how long banned last year? Which probably is the single most contributory factor to us getting relegated last year this is laughable. Good luck Buster you have been a devoted servant of this club for decades, Paul March you are a self serving mercenary whose commitment to Keighley is barely skin deep, you only survive by dint of circumstances that allow you to say 'non mea culpa' and a chairman who vacillates when the real decision is obvious but dare not take it. A true fan of Keighley does not have to slavishly say 'all is good' simply because the 'club' say it is, use your eyes, your ears, all your senses, your instincts, your gut feelings, we are all entitled to do this, and make your own judgement as to wether we are going to goforward under the current leadership. And when I say forward I mean more than just for the next season but for the next decade. |

I have read this and some comments floating about and I have to say I think Paul was out of order. Were a few days away from a play off semi final and the coach is going on about one of our players getting married? How about getting the team ready for the game and stop worrying about something that has happened and can not be changed? People in life make difficult decision and getting married is meant to be a once in a lifetime event! Last chance for Mr March on this me thinks, I would get rid if we don't go up. Just my opinion on a very poor newspaper article. Anyone that does not agree tough luck but please reply so I can read your views. Bits not scraps. Oh and one final thing.... Buster if your reading this hope your wedding goes really well, don't drink too much and live the dream. |

I had occasion to speak to the press once in connection with my work. When I saw what they'd then printed in the paper I honestly couldn't believe it. Their report bore not even the remotest resemblance to what I had actually said. |

I understand the press do twist things but all it needed was a statement on the club website saying the report wad being taken out of context. Good luck Buster and were working hard to win this weekend. |

I think its sad that our Captain will be missing for what is now the most important game of the season, wedding or not, nothing against him like but its a sad probably shows where the game is in general at this level On March - I have always thought the club has been on the decline since JD left and if we lose on the moro he simply has to go |

Totally agree with the above post re Buster. No disregard to Buster but it totally sums the state of the sport. The disappointing thing is we as fans are expected to pay full time prices for what is essentially an amateur sport, in every sense of the word. From players going on holiday halfway through the season to the league being run where not every team plays each other twice!! |

I think there is a bigger picture to all this though guys. 1. Buster booked this while we were in above league and if we had stayed up there would be no problem as we would have had no game today. 2. He agreed to leave the club last year and the club knew about this when he returned. If it was not an issue then why is it now? 3. How many other players have missed games this year? Can't be different rules depending who you are! 4. Why mention this in the most important week of the season? Poor management from Mr March. I could go on but instead it is time to turn my thoughts to today. A must win game for me and now it is here lets go and win today. Mon today the Cougars. |

Whilst he has form for this, when has a 3 month stadium ban ever been applied to anyone else. There are plenty of gobsh*te coaches i can think of. Unfair treatment because of his reputation maybe, but also there were other circumstances such as the 3 points deduction farce etc. We actually have a fairly mediocre team and my opinion is he is probably coaching to a reasonable standard. We finished fifth from bottom, which in any normal year is probably OK in that league however five went down. Pretty unlucky in my eye. Id be interested to know when he booked his 3 week holiday Ed Turner wrote: Paul March you are a self serving mercenary whose commitment to Keighley is barely skin deep Ive seen on Facebook today that March is visiting a stage 4 cancer sufferer, young lad in LGI who asked if Cougars could visit him This season we finished second, had a pretty significant injury crisis and oh yes ive just remembered had our stand off pass away on the field. The results whilst under expectation arent that bad, the Oldham game was doomed the minute it was to be played at Whitebank. We have another chance and on the back of a pretty impressive display in the second half. I will revisit to see if my opinion has changed on March and the team on Sunday at about 4pm. |
