I've just seen the following;

"In the Qualifiers and the Championship Shield the slate has been wiped clean and all teams start the new competition with zero points. In the Super 8's Super League the points earned in the first twenty-three rounds are carried forwards into the new competition."

which, as far as the Shield is concern, seems somewhat skewed! for example, after 23 matches Featherstone are on 26 Points and Doncaster are on 2. All points are now cancelled and, in theory, Featherstone could be relegated to Ch1 and Doncaster win the shield :CRAZY:

I'm pretty sure its only the qualifiers (Middle 8) where the points are reset.

Think the bottom 8 keep their points.

Quote:In Super League and Championship Shield, the competing clubs will carry over the points and scoring records from the regular season into the Super 8s. The Qualifiers will start with zero points because the eight clubs are drawn from two different competitions.

Thanks for the clarification, the report from RLFANS News Hound isn't so clear, perhaps even wrong!
