I wasn't at the game but losing R. Sheriff 5 mins before the start and buster 5 mins into the match can't have helped.
Add to that there are probably some very tired minds out there after the events of the last 2 weeks. The week off next week has come at an ideal time for the club, and will hopefully allow the the team to rest their bodies and minds and focus on the rest of the season, and hopefully achieving the promotion that we all want #doitforjonesy
It's very difficult to gauge how this first away game without Danny has affected the players but we were a pale shadow of the team that beat Newcastle.
Swinton, who were faster, fitter, ran harder and more determined were certainly the better team on the day but were vulnerable in the same way that all teams who rush out of defence are.
Paul March and Tiger seem to have a good understanding but neither are spring chickens. I would like to see a stand off with pace, a good pass, and tacking ability to feed off Tiger.
There are a couple of good lads in the A team but I'm not sure if they're ready for the step up yet.
I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Yesterday wasn’t about the result for me, it was about the team getting over another hurdle, they looked physically and mentally shot, and who can blame them, there was plenty of effort, but the early loss of Buster after a heavy knock, and the late withdrawal of Rickie took the wind right out of their sails, I for one was proud of their efforts. Yesterday’s game would have been so much harder for those guys getting on the bus for the first time since Danny death! They didn’t have the wave of emotion from a big crowd cheering them on. Danny funeral is still to be held, and I just think the team need a break and time to grieve, and re-group. I for one won’t be talking about a replacement for Danny till well after the funeral.
Obviously not good losing a game but given the situ at the mo its understandable
The week off this week vital I think
The oldham game is massive simply the guys need to regroup and re-vitalise the best they can - The challenge for the season has got that bit tougher now so the week off can only do good.
The result yesterday did not matter but the players tried their best. They were obviously emotionally shattered and we hope they enjoy the rest this week. We will all be back for the Oldham game cheering them on. All at Cougars have done the club proud this past two weeks.Thankyou.

Yes, I agree with that Shaun, perhaps my post came across sounding a little "cold", it wasn't intended so.

This is the 3rd division - put him in at stand off now. Paul March could be on bench in case it gets too much for Darville in any particular match. Give young players with talent the chance. Might develop a superstar.
