Couple of extracts taken from the Oldham website.

So if we are both joint top. He could bring in a load of dr players to try and beat us.
Now you cannot blame a coach for doing it.
But the whole ethics side of the game has to be questioned.

Super League clubs should be required to run a reserve team & scrap DR. In the meantime the rugby league should publish how each clubs salary spending compares to their salary cap. Using DR players means some of their salary has to count against the borrowing clubs salary cap. Without publishing the figures how does anybody know if say Oldham or Hunslet are cheating the system or not?
