Well, that's three from three and we're top of the league! Well, we're almost top of the league - it would appear Oldham have a better points difference by a margin of 3. Never mind, great performance today from the lads - straight out of the blocks like an express train. Even though Thunder came back into it a bit, we were always on top. That said, I think it took Buster's excellent try from dummy half to finally put paid to Thunder's resistance. Mind, it was worth the journey (yes, just a short one for me) to see that team effort to push the Thunder lad back into his in-goal area late in the second half.
.
A good following of Cougar fans in good voice too, I'm sure the lads appreciated the support in the one game of the season when I can beat you all home! :D
.
Yes, Tony, your bacon is burnt

Excellent result, well done Cougars. Gutted I couldn't make it. Will definitely be at the next match though. C'mon Cougars.

Yes great result. Just need to beat NWC next week.

We'll continue the painting and every thing else at the ground to make us all feel better and prouder.

HOPE YOU'VE ALL NOTICED.

A small band of volunteers are trying. Joint us if you can.

Agreed , a very good performance against a team who in my opinion will reach the play offs. Play consistently like that and we will take some beating. Pretty good defence again and same on completion rate. I bet Marchy is glad he only had 20 metres to run when he stole the ball (although he said he coasted in on Radio Leeds)

Great first 40 ,attack was brilliant , my worry is the way that teams are getting into us on the counter attack , either from a loose ball or penalty just inside the half .. it cost us big time in both competitions pre season and as of today , tries of which we conceded three, those points on the score difference could prove crucial ..

A great performance by the team, it's nice to see the after match smiles.

A different game plan saw us come out of the blocks fast and catch Thunder by surprise. By the time they got any meaningful posession we were 18 up!

They put up a good fightback 10 mins either side of halftime but we managed to find more energy reserves and some smart rugby to see them off. Paul March's ball steal try was a peach, we were all looking the other way as he "sauntered" over the line.

All in all a great day out, nice compact stadium (but flipping cold) and as always, Thunder fans are vocal but good humoured and very friendly. The artificial pitch definitely performs differently to grass with some startling bounces.
