A tough, exciting game in which the reserves gave it all against a "better on paper" Leigh side.

Some fine performances notably from Ross Peltier, who must surely be pushing for a first team place.

Some controversial decisions by the ref marred what was an intense and interesting game.

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

Thought the referee was trying to level the game out during the second half, Leigh's coach was sat in front of the press box and was fuming that we were getting everything in first half.

The forward pack was outstanding and Darvo and Alfie in the halves are definitely ones for the future.

Just another note for the youngsters in the reserves, Hamish Barnes is expected to be named in the nineteen to face Hemel on Sunday, another in a long line of graduates from the youth ranks to the first team.

Thanks each for your posts but what was the final score and who scored?

Cougars 22-34 Leigh Centurions

I don't know why Dreamer or Hello Trouble couldn't post the result it's easy enough to do. It happens such a lot, almost as if 'If you don't attend then they won't tell you the score' ....... I'm sure it's not but it does seem like that at times!

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true. Or is it something worse?

I think the term I'm looking for is complete ballcocks ;-)

I would have posted the score, my mistake, but then its on the club website with a full report.

Thanks for your unadulterated response 'Dreamer'. So why does anyone even bother to visit this site at all to obtain information about 'All things Cougars'?

By the way, for me to travel over 600 miles for a Reserve team match is impossible. Sorry, but I still believe that the final score should have been posted or the Post should never have been started at all.

The little "winking" emoticon identifies it as being "tongue in cheek".

Who suggested any such thing?

I've already said it was my mistake, stop being a plank, and who are you to say who posts what.

Banter? Controversial conversations that could not appear on an official site?
There is an official site for results and official information.

Pick your dummy up, there's a good chap.

At least somebody is aware the thing exsists.

I think there was a point where it was rarely updated, but it seems much better of late.

Your reports and club overviews are informative too.

Pre-season is a nightmare as with the exception of player movements there is very little to report on.

Now the league campaign is in full swing, as shown this week, it will be updated with ten or eleven new stories a week.
