At last the club is starting to get things rolling again it seems:

- Great professional and disciplined team attitude in demolishing East Leeds
- Great initiative in getting volunteers organised - volunteers meeting in the Hall of Fame Bar from 7pm on Thursday12th March. Meeting to discuss and agree volunteer team priorities and plan
- New admin staff - we're delighted to welcome on board our latest team member - Jacqueline - who is our new admin & office assistant.
- Rugby League legend Garry Schofield attending and speaking at every Cougar home match
- Match day experience improving - music, cheerleaders, Freddie, great ball boys and girls
- Terry Hollindrake stand impending

Hope the volunteers are provided with plenty of red and green paint, building materials, tools, brushes, shovels etc and there is a big effort to get ground tidied up so we can again be proud of it. Wonder if the uprights at the garage end can be painted and nets put back up whilst the cherry picker is on loan? Just need to sort out more car parking in the vicinity of Cougar Park.

Then the match day experience can be sold to a wider audience

Is the volunteer meeting only for those who have already enlisted their help or can I come along and join to offer my help ?

Everybody is very welcome. The more the better whether Cougar supporters at the moment or not. Bring a friend as well. If people have a trade or not or are just willing to lend a hand it will help get this Cougar army of volunteers up and running.

Just hoping there is an agenda to the meeting and its not just a knee jerk reaction to the many post on here about the state of the ground.
Will there be funds to aid the volunteers bring the ground up to a respectable level.
Have they any goals of what they would like to get done over the year and financial resources to make it happen.
Now they have started with the planed meeting will this continue monthly
Guess i will have to goto the meeting to find out

It's a great idea, I've just been reading in this week's League Express about what Featherstone Rovers have achieved - admirable work done at their stadium. I can't do much being 100 miles away but am hatching a plan to be at the Swinton game and, if all goes to plan, should be in Keighley in time to head down to the ground early and give it a general tidy up / litter pick if required. Who would I contact about that?

Now an extra go-ahead director as well! Now do a deal with Aldi Get Freddie & half a dozen personality girls to Aldis in Skipton, Silsden & Keighley every Saturday before a home match hand out leaflets, attach your Aldi bill of over £20 and get into Cougars next day for half price.

Great idea but seriously 'personality girls ' ??? We've got a sport that has a reputation for equality and diversity and you want to go back to some 70s' Miss RL' type situation to publicise the club , what would you do have em wearing nothing but a Paul march mask and a cheeky grin....

Get what you are saying but a tad over sensitive I think. Ok personality girls and boys if it has to be spelt out. From opening post can be seen I'm not sexist referring to the great ball girls and boys. Would be good if any boys wanted to be in the cheerleader group as well.

Freddie was at the shopping centre last Saturday promoting the game and will more than likely be there next Saturday. I'm sure Gary is open to suggestions and offers. Why not contact him direct?
If anyone wants to hand out leaflets get in touch the help is always appreciated. Unfortunately we don't have any personality girls ;)
