Personally not too bothered about the early season national cup thing. But think the aim should be to do a Hull and win every league game in the season. & win promotion. If the players get fit and go into every match fully switched on it is achievable. Could just do with an extra strike centre and a full back who can catch on the full, run out strongly and with a big boot to gain us 50 metres down field from every penalty touch finder. |

Anyone know when that cup in drawn? I also am looking to win the league. I think it's possible and I am looking forward to the season. |

Don't think we'll go undefeated, would have liked to have seen a new prop forward. Need a full back & centre, lets win the cup & get on a roll & win the title & promotion. |

For a Start from the squad we have currently I would name my team as 1. Paul White 2. Jesse Sheriffe 3. Daley Williams 4. Danny Lawton 5. Gavin Duffy 6. Danny Jones 7. Paul Handforth 8. Scott Law 9. James Feather 10. Neil Cherryholme 11. Oliver Pursglove 12. Ash Lindsay 13. David March 14. Paul March 15. Brendon Rawlins 16. Jode Sheriffe 17. Matthew Bailey leaving Liam Darville Andy Gabriel Lewis Graham Luke Haigh Sean Kelly Ryan Patchett Ross Peltier Chris Watson From that I think for that league its a very good run on 13, id be happy to say that will be the best half back partnership, prop wise I know people are worried but id say again for that league we are strong, the 4 in the 17 and Peltier, were not too bad, We have speed on he wings, Centre wise a fully fit Williams is a very good player, and Lawton for me last season had his best as a cougar player, remember both Ex SL players. I can see white as the full back only time will tell. Good to have buster back too, pursglove and Lindsay both good inn the back row Obviously im sure there is time for some more additions but I feel depth is low this time, 8 players left, and not replaced. That's the worry if we pick them up we lack the quality of player the call top players for the division, yes some good young guns, but we need more depth, im sure the run on strongest team will be very good in the division That all said we go into it as top ranked side from last season so other teams will see us as one of he stronger ones, realistic the challenges will come from the teams relegated with us in the Shape of a strengthen Swinton, Barrow are never slouches, NYC and Rochdale will have expectations from within, York and Oldham know that league well with some of the long away trips last year so have the experience there while I think the number 1 challenge could be Gateshead, allot of new faces PNG players to note if they click they could be hard stopping However for me anything other than top of the league come the end of the season will do simple as that, the bulk of that team did battle with some of the championship teams last year and the vast majority of our losses were silly ones not being able to see a game out ect, im sure that can be fixed against lesser opponents, wasn't as if we wee getting blown away each week, So winning the league is 1 simple expectation A trip to Blackpool would be nice too on the new cup, but if we are to serious promotion comes above that 10 fold |

What a team! If we don't finish 'TOP' then we don't deserve promotion. It's up to the squad now, to deliver what we fans and supporters know that they can achieve. |

Do you mean NWC, as New York City for a trip is going to be expensive! ![]() |

Call me pessimistic (realistic?) but I think there could be a few surprises along the way but that goes for all teams, so as long as we are there or there abouts will do me. The top team doesnt go up as of right so what will be crucial is a bit of form and luck with injuries on the run in at the 'business end' of the season and into the play offs. |

On paper it looks a reasonable squad, yet on paper we are weaker than last year and our "older" players are, well, one year older. We saw what complacency did to us last year, I'd hate for that to start before we even touch a ball. Respect ALL teams and play like we mean it and we will do ok, but I'm not expecting to win all games. There may be some surprises this year. |
