I saw on twitter Josh you had put something about there being enough members to push through an EGM with one super league chairman supporting a vote of no confidence.
Does anyone know what the EGM will actually mean? Presumably once the full fixtures are out the only route we can go down is a legal challenge.
I dont want this thread turning into a 'we should have won more games' etc. Im bored of hearing that, everyone knows we got relegated and its highly unlikely anything else is going to happen (although id dearly love to see a few Batley fans reaction if the points were re-re-re deducted). Currently some Batley fans are accusing Keighley of bringing the game into disrepute and that we should be kicked out. Interesting point coming from proven rule breakers who got lucky by default.

I would ignore anything a Batley fan says. The ones I have seen since they got their points back have Been complete idiots to a man. (Except the poster above who has just about posted the funniest thing from a batley fan ever)
I used to really enjoy my visits to Batley that will have to be assesed next time where there as I dont think they as a club deserve my hard earned cash.

Just one Batley fan posted that we don't all share the same view and staying up by default when we won our last two games one away to Donny and we hammered them never mentioned on this forum We still don't know the full facts, was the points deduction right in the first place, I don't know , one fact we now definitely know is the RFL did know about the 5 clubs last year and repeatedly warned them but took no action I think until the full facts if they ever are published we should make judgements Really think a legal case against the rfl is not a great idea, I don't think you having the backing of the clubs you think you have Good luck next season whichever league your in

Maybe if we'd played some ineligible Super League players we would have done since it appears there's no punishment for doing so.
Although if we had done it I think we all know that the chances of having any punishment dished out to Keighley reversed by the RFL would have been nil. In fact they'd probably have doubled it if we'd had the cheek to appeal.

Seriously mate, you are reading far too much into it. There is no big vendetta against Keighley. At the time we got the points back, we were still favorites to go down. If you had beaten Fev in the last game, you wouldn't give two hoots about Batley, The RFL, ineligible players, points deductions or anything else. In fact, haven4eva has gone very quiet since they escaped the drop.
So, I say it once again, you should have won more games.
I have said it before and will say it again, this is not Cougars Vs Batley and if the boot was on the other foot I am sure Batley fans/officials would also be pursuing the RFL for answers. I have always said that I have nothing against Batley and in the main they amassed more points than us, but it's not as straightforward as that when rule breaches are brought into the mix. I don't support the Batley hate club by a minority of our fans and distance myself from their comments and views. Everyone has their own view, but I have to say on the other forum a selection of so called Batley fans have hardly covered themselves in glory.
It's all well and good mentioning the Donny game and fair play you achieved a good win against the odds and we were a forward pass away from getting the result against Fev. It was in our hands and we blew it, but there is some much more to this now and I think the club are spot on to pursue this. This isn't the first alarming decision by the RFL this season so there are unanswered questions. As for support for member clubs, if early indications are right I think we may have the support required to push for a EGM.
Maybe this we hate Batley, we hate Keighley thing needs to stop. We would be stronger together fighting each others corner. I cannot believe Batley officials and fans think all is rosy with the RFL and now is the time to make changes for the longevity of our game. If that means we have to fight our way out of C1 so be it, but I think there are bigger issues to consider and think those with tunnel vision may need to look at the bigger picture.

Good post dominance pretty much sums it up and yes your right I for one think RFL have not conducted themselves in this very well, hope the situation is resolved to everyone's benefit

I think the big issue is the transparency and fairness of the RFL justice system...not the actions of any club in particular. Why was Paul March given an unprecedented ban when there was in fact evidence claiming his innocence. I don't think there should have been such a large ban in any case, Bobbie Goulding had a 5 match ban, Daryl Powell was fined, albeit all different cases of abuse of the referee but all with quite different punishments? My point is that the justice seems to be inconsistent and unpredictable. Naturally some of us Keighley fans think all these are now related because we have been significantly wronged in the past... I am not quite of that mindset, the RFL have helped us at times also, but it does make me think that there are some clubs that subconsciously or consciously the RFL treat more favourably than others... but without a clear transparent justice system how can that bias be identified and then nullified? The EGM must fix this lack of transparency to prove that there is no bias and that they can approach justice in a professional and consistent manner. I agree wholeheartedly that all clubs should stick together and fight for transparent and consistent justice from the RFL.
