None of this is going to be concluded before the matches this weekend , but surely if the decision is overturned in our favor then there is a challenge to have the whole play off structure replayed with Keighley taking part .

Apart from Halifax we've beaten or lost by only two points to all of the teams finishing in places 1 to 7 , taking that into consideration surely there is a massive argument that despite our league standing we could feasibly , looking at those stats , have been in the position of having a an outside chance that we made the play off final and were , shades of 95 here , if you take its to its conclusion ,denied a SL place .

All hypothetical of course but ..... Thoughts chaps ??

Not a clue ...no knowledge of anything legal mate TBH this just came to me over my first cuppa of the day ... But it could make the RFL look even bigger Wally's than they do already ...

The RFL could either:- Delay the Batley game, they can only do this for a very short timespan. Give a bye to Batley's opponent and say "sorry" to Keighley by giving us compensation. Sort it all out very quickly and deduct 3 points from Batley

Your league finishing position is more important as that determines your funding for next year. Best you can hope for is final table adjusted to reflect batley being re-deducted the 3 points and you taking up batleys spot in playoffs, assuming their still in it it, at time decision is made. Then you get extra revenue from any playoff games you take part in. And you remain in championship next year. Given this is RFL I wouldnt expect any decision until after playoffs TBH.

Although exchanging position with Batley would be a very kind offering we must recognise that Haven have worked their backsides off and would in effec ttake the final playoff position, they should be fighting for this! I would settle with 9th right now all day long

Totally agree, if Batley have the 3 points deducted then both Whitehaven and Keighley get bumped up the table one place, so it is whitehaven who play in the playoffs. Also, shouldn't Sheffield be playing Leigh this weekend with Doncaster entertaining Whitehaven.
