Post subject:  Champagne moments
Nobody has mentioned what reduced many of the players to tears after the match and that was the tremendous reception for them as they came to take their applause :CLAP: :CLAP: :CLAP: . I have never heard a louder “Cougars-Cougars!” cheer all season and what makes me think that given the right people we will be back where we belong and this time all the stronger.

Champagne moments of the season: Danny Jones' last minute penalty against North Wales, Shick's burst down the wing against Doncaster and his final try on Sunday, Richie Barnett's interception try against Dewsbury – any more?

There are quite a few which somehow seemed to have muddled into a blur with the disappointment of relegation.

However, one that sticks in my mind, not for a flowing move, but more for sheer determination and refusing to give up, and thats Craven against Sheffield away. He ran at the line close to the posts but was caught 5m out. He kept his legs pumping, pushed four defenders back and whipped out his arm like a snake striking to plant the ball behind the whitewash. If it had been in superleague, Eddie and Stevo would have been doing backflips with exitment.

All the tries against Fev this weekend, just for the adrenaline rush alone.
