Ok with a bit of luck, fewer mistakes etc we could have pulled it off. Their final try had a certain inevitability to it. But what a great try by Shicks! I really think the team did their best and tried their hardest. Great game. I am already looking forward to next season - i am sure the Chairman/Board/sponsors/coach will do their best to be competitive and put a decent team out. I wish I had funds to invest but I haven't. COUGARS! |

COUGARS! Yes we nearly did it , it was a stormer of a game and well done for todays Match. BUT , we should not be in this position and I wish I could share your Optimism over next season. The clubs future was there for the taking , it was handed to them on a gilt edged Plate. But no we make such a mess of it against teams that we should have hammered. We should not have been relegated . There is only one person to blame. Gutted and disgusted. |

I was proud of the performance today. Yes we came up just short but we gave it everything. It was nice to stay back at the end and be part of the Cougar chant. Made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up and shows what great support this club has got. I honestly thought a BP would be good enough and never saw Batley beating Donny, but hey! The RFL are doing their best to suck my enjoyment out of the game and a vote of no confidence has to be a very real consideration. |

Shick indicated after the match (before he broke down) that Cougars are a very special club with great support. After a few days of recovery, whatever happens - we'll be back! |

Heard Marchy broke down upstairs. Today was a heart breaker. Should have won the match to be fair. Least we went down with dignity. You can not say the same of Batley this year. |
