Read this will be his last season with us.

I still think he could carry on.

All the best Mr Shickle for the future and thank you for workrate, performences and effort through the years. It says it all when I was in Barrow other week and someone asked if that class player Shickle was still with us. He thought you were a great rugby league player and so do I.

DITTO...And so say all of us.. Andy is a man-mountain..120% effort a born winner,, sorry to be loosing him.. he will always be talked about on the terraces .. and his picture in the hall of fame.. Shick for England...

I think the big man has given his all for us for seven years and deserves to go out while he is still fairly fit and not let bad injury stop his career. Good luck to a great guy and MASSIVE thanks for all you have done - one of Cougars most consistent and honest, hard working players.

Sometimes it's difficult for a prop to know when to retire, many keep going into their mid 30's. Andy has had a dodgy ankle this year, maybe he thinks going now is better for him and his family and for us.

Whatever the reason for going, he's given the sort of service and performance to the club and fans that few players give will be sorely missed and difficult to replace.
