It has certainly been an interesting weekend, with Halifax running away with the game on Thursday night, not so good for us, I was expecting better but the result at Rochdale was very surprising and NWC came very close to overturning Doncaster. I also thought Sheffield did better then expect at the LSV and gained a bonus point. Barrow 18 - 30 Whitehaven Dewsbury 48 - 6 Swinton Leigh 32 - 24 Sheffield NWC 24 - 28 Doncaster Rochdale 38 - 34 Featherstone Workington 22 - 16 Batley It is certainly hotting up in the middle of the division and we may well see some more slippage from Featherstone. Quite a few teams breathing down our neck but I think Marchy is back next week so hopefully we can start to play to the level that we have occasionally seen this season. 1 Leigh 54 2 Featherstone 42 3 Halifax 41 4 Doncaster 40 5 Dewsbury 34 6 Batley 33 7 Keighley 31 8 Whitehaven 30 9 Sheffield 29 10 Workington 29 11 NWCrusaders 22 12 Swinton 21 13 Rochdale 17 14 Barrow 15 |

Score wise it has been a poor weekend for us. It can all be put right with a win next weekend. After the way some of thier fans were after the game up there lets put 40 past them so they have no excuses or anything to cry over. |

A great season, the P&R has really gotten teams up for a 'fight til the end' attitude. From 5th to 10th it's one hell of a battle and we shouldn't rule out some slippage from above and brave efforts from beneath these places, the threat is all around us and if I'm honest I'm getting a bit tetchy at the thought of the fact it really could be the cougars falling to the unlucky 5 spots. come on Cougars, this next win is an absolute must, we cannot fail now. coouugggaaarrrssss |

Sunday v Workington is a must win. Glad Marchy is back especially if Jones is still out. |

I fully expect both Batley and Doncaster to slip this coming weekend but I'm not too sure about the Whitehaven v Dewsbury match. |

Its not just vital that we win but also imprtant that we deny them a bonus point, if we are 12 up with with 3 mins to go we must really try get that extra point/s. Table is so tight its these things that might make all the difference at the end. |

...... and Wigan's coach reports that the returning Joel Tomkins could well be turning out for Worky to get match fit. No problem, I am sure he is some obscure player that no one has ever heard of or perhaps a young marginal player gaining experience. Yep, the dual reg system is great isn't it and no one would ever think of abusing it. |
