We didn't turn up till the second half then littered with mistakes
In the second half. A few flashes of brilliance in the second half
But just not good enough.
We needa better kicker , the result would havave bed different
If all goals had been kicked.
This was a must win , now we are 9th now - not good.

Next match Sheffield away and with how we have played in recent weeks I'd be surprised if we came out on top. I don't want to be negative, I've seen what we can do but we haven't played well for awhile now!

Disappointed with todays result. Defence down wings was non existant. Club cannot be happy with 9th place. Fans def not.Act now. We are still behind the players but things seem to be going from bad to worse. We MUST NOT BE RELEGATED.

From an opposition perspective you've definitely improved on last season. Handforth and Jones, especially, are a very decent combination. Still think you'd benefit from a decent fitness coach, though. You'd get at least 20% more out of some players if they weren't so out of shape.

To say I am gutted after the ending to today's match is an understatement. The Jersey detective from Batley is right in his post in that we have improved since last season - yet we find ourselves in 9th place. If we didn't conspire to throw away so many points in the dying seconds we might be a few places higher; the following frustrating examples spring instantly to mind:
.
Doncaster away - threw away a bonus point
'
Leigh at home - should have had 3 instead of 1.
.
Halifax at home - should probably have beaten them but should have had a bonus point at the very least.
.
Whitehaven away - lost it in the last few minutes
.
Batley at home today - you know what happened!
.
That's about 8 extra points we could have had - maybe should have had. Some work on defence is clearly required. In his Radio Leeds interview, John Kear said the Dogs had got into our 20 metre zone only four times in the second half and they scored off two of them. It was the same with Fax; they didn't get into our half much at all in the second half but still got over the line when they did manage to get up the field - at the cost of at least a bonus point.
.
Jim Bergerac also picks up on our players' fitness. I have to say I thought the Bulldogs did look leaner and fitter than a lot of our lads.
.
Elation to despair in a matter of seconds. The world of a supporter of the Keighley Cougars.

We have also been let down by our goal kicking , we have lost at least two games because of missed goals ,
Todays included. Think Mr Jones should be getting some practice in !

Have to say I thought Danny Jones' performance against Batley was outstanding and he was on fire. Those three missed conversions were from the touchline and two of them hit the post. I hear the players were gutted after the game and they need our full backing now. Marchy says the crowd are the fourteenth player at games so let's get our act together. and back them

I agree with that, Jones played well today, those kicks from the touch line were not easy and very missable.

You're right about the crowd too, but from what I understand the players blotted their copy book by not acknowledging the fans after the Whitehaven game. There some fans who are rightly still annoyed that for all their efforts in getting up to haven to support the lads were not even given a clap. It doesn't take much. Handforth still has things to learn about being an on field leader.
