Sorry meant Swinton. Agree with the sentiments about getting a good win , but maybe time to knock the 'Warrington ' Jibes on the head on a public forum ? Bit of respect for the opposition maybe ? (unless of course its certain team from down the road that may well be gracing us with their presence in the Championship next year -then its open season ! ) |

Agree a good win today. There are no easy games in this league. If we turn up to a game not quite motivated we will lose. This is shown by the unpredictable results seen each week. Up The Cougars! |

Good win I agree and we ground it out. If you compare us to last season we would have lost that game so that's a positive, however, overall I was disappointed with the performance. O'Brien and Hawkyard caused us problems and we never go wise to it. I felt we got bossed in the forwards at times which slowed us up. We should have put Swinton to bed in the second half but countless errors and dubious calls meant we never closed the door. I know nobody has mentioned the officials thus far. Maybe for fear of being banned!!! It was the same ref as last week, but what a contrasting performance. I know we'll always argue certain calls which sometimes go your way and sometimes don't, but was it just me or did we seem to get the bum end of those calls today? I looked over at the dugouts during the second half. Ours looked somewhat sparse when compared to Swinton's personnel. I respect everyone's opinion on the experience of the players coming to the fore and Paul and Adam's good work, but I'm definitely in support of getting someone in. Let's face it, we didn't replace Barraclough so we don't have an assistant coach and Adam is shown as a conditioning coach, like Paul. I feel an experienced head of the bench could of assisted us today tactically, but that's just my view. Is Noble free? |

Do you think that after playing so well against Dewsbury we were perhaps guilty of underestimating Swinton just a little bit? The conditions weren't easy but we certainly made hard work of it; or should I say that Swinton played their part to make it difficult for us. They had some big lads out there - that number 13 was just shrugging off the tackles and on more than one occasion he off-loaded to the nippy little full-back to make good breaks. We also made breaks of course but wasted a couple of them. Was chatting to a couple of Swinton fans who said that if we played one-up rugby they could cope with it but they would struggle if we threw it about a bit - which was what we did last week but not quite so much today. But... another win so it's onwards and upwards for the Cougars. . On a very disappointing note - the attendance of 673 was very poor. We play some great stuff to beat Dewsbury in front of 970, then the attendance drops by 300 for the next game. I know Dews brought a few but 300...??? Deary me, what do people in Keighley do on a Sunday afternoon? We had over 1,000 against Whitehaven. What's going on? |

If you had taken the fullback Hawkyard out of that side, they would have offered little in attack. We lost a prop to injury before the 10 min mark, and lost a further two forwards as the game went on. I think we would have offered more otherwise. Scrappy game, but an important victory without Paul March. |

Grim weather forecast plus last day of football season may have seen people stopping home to watch the title deciding matches. |
