Well done 1 to 17. Great team performance. As usual, things to work on - the mistakes that led to their 4 tries etc. Gives confidence for a top 6 finish! More v Swinton next week please! Come on Cougars! Hope every Cougar supporter can bring a friend and get crowd up to 1,500 next week. Any chance of the club selling any spare Cougar merchandise cheap on matchdays to build up the all in it together spirit?

Agreed, a fantastic performance from all 17 players today, that first half was a joy to watch. We didn't have it quite so easy in the second half but it was still very, very good. A win against one of the teams above us has been coming for quite a while now and I'm really chuffed we finally achieved it. I really can't single out any one player for particular praise, every one of them gave everything - fantastic. More of the same please - no let-up against the Lions next week. . The only disappointment today (other than the Dulls spawning a win) was the attendance. Dews brought a good following with them so I think we could have done with more Keighley folk getting down to cheer on the lads. I can't for the life of me understand why rugby league does not attract more spectators - that's right across all the leagues and especially ours. The entertainment on offer is first rate and, comparatively speaking, it's not an expensive day out. . Lastly, good banter with the Dews fans today on the scrattin' shed side. One of the other things which makes RL so special.

A great team performance right across the park, they all seem to be growing in confidence. Handforth has really added some quality to this side and Jones appears to be feeding off this and has improved over last year.
We blitzed them in the first half, they just looked shell shocked. We did enough to withstand the expected second half fight back and just as we looked like we were tiring, we dug deep to finish them off in style.
What I found pleasing was the improved team spirit. If you walked past the changing rooms at full time, you would have heard them in full song (though the delicate might have had to cover their ears! )
Paul March has, over the last couple of years, come in for some (probably justified) criticism. He's weathered it, brought in some of his own players and now appears to be building a side that can play some rugby. Long May it continue. What must be pleasing for him is knowing we still have several quality players to come back into the side with the likes of Shickell, Feather, Lindsay etc.
Two things I would like to see from the side: 1. Vary the kick off 2. Learn to deal with the high bomb. Some brilliant catches were made but we spilled too much ball and put unnecessary pressure on ourselves.
I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

I only wish that I and the rest of my family could have been there yesterday to witness the victory.
In the absence of being able to follow the match commentary on Jam Radio (are they still providing this service?) we could only rely on the 'live match blog', which goes somewhere to filling the gap, and it makes our absence even worse being unable to watch MICKY's match videos.
As for the result, it was brilliant and we can only hope that we can keep it up! Things seem to be coming together at last.
However, it still appears that, from comments by 'Dreamer', as I have been saying for years and being criticised severely for it during Barry Eaton's tenure, we still do not appear to vary the kick-off and I don't understand why we don't. Eaton used to 'kick us to death' when playing against us for his various clubs (40/20's in abundance), but never did the same to our opponents when he played for us. Comments please.
We all hope to get back to Cougarland at some time this season but a 600 mile round trip isn't easy to arrange for everyone.
After faithfully supporting Keighley and the Cougars since 1962 at home and away, being a Season Ticket-holder for many years (including my family) as well as their numerous lotteries, purchasing numerous concrete blocks for the Hard Ings terrace and shares in the various Share Issues, I feel that I can comment as I do. I have been through the good times and the bad and would like to ask 'Halifax Cougar' for the details of his unbounded support and his right to pass (sarcastic?) comments as he does.

If you go to the Dewsbury forum on totalrl.com they have a match video on the Keighley thread.
