The new structure in RL is great news. There is now a clear path to earn promotion to Super League. This coming season is crucial for the Cougars. Need to finish in the top 8 this season to earn in place in Super League 2 (or whatever it may be called) for 2015. Then Super League is just one promotion away. Cougars have unfinished business!! Now could be the right time for the club to sell Life Memberships to individual supporters to get funds in the pot in case a top player became available to sign this season. A good start for the club to help build back the trust of the town would be to publicly announce that it will honour and re-instate Life Memberships that individuals bought during the original Cougarmania days in the 1990's. |

I can confirm that successive Cougars boards have honoured the life memberships sold in the late 1990s. There are not many of us left now but agree it would be a good idea to sell them again. Another idea is to have yearly club membership's. You can still take up Squadbuilder. |
