Tyrone McCarthy, no charge, the RFL say he tried to make a legitimate challenge, the arm was straight and the opponent (Shick) ducked into it and there is a potential head clash. The other guy got sin bin sufficient.

Shick appeared to have been knocked out. Yet he got up and played on. Says something about the type of person who plays this great game doesnt it.

I looked at Micky's video several times and I have to be honest I really couldn't make my mind up about whether it was a bad tackle or not. It certainly wasn't one that I looked at and winced. The players reaction is always a good measure and there wasn't much by way of pushing and shoving. As much as it pains me to say it, maybe the RFL got one right.

Could just be me, but that's my take. I wasn't there so maybe the live version told a different story?

From the video I didn't see much to suggest enough wrong doing in the tackle to suggest further penalty. It was still a big hit. Hope Shick's OK.

Bit harsh Alec , as I recall McCarthy was VERY VERY complementary about the Cougars on his Twitter account after playing at Cougar Park for Warrington the other year.
