Have to agree with that sentiment as well.
As a rugby league fan, unfortunately, I don't like the way those currently in charge at RL HQ run the game - compare with Soccer at the moment - frenzied excitement at dozens of grounds around the country as promotion and relegation battles are fought out in front of packed houses.
Sky had to show a meaningless match (Salford v Castleford), with nothing at stake and virtually no interest (80% empty stadium).
The sooner rugby league brings back a settled league structure with promotion and relegation (even if only one-up, one-down) the better. The game isn't going to attract a wider audience 'till that happens.
