I wonder if current Keighley Cougars Chairman Gary Fawcett would consider inviting a big hitter onto the board as Non-Executive Chairman with Mr Fawcett himself moving across to be Managing Director? This might be helpful, among other things, when applying for public money for a new stadium. Names? Geoffrey Richmond? Ann Cryer? Howard Carter? Chris Caisley ? ........ |

guess who wrote:Chris Caisley joins the Cougars would stop me ever setting foot in cougar park again. Yep, Cougar park would be empty. Ann Cryer would be an interesting proposition though. It would need to be someone of standing, with "people" skills and who could "open doors". Remember there is still a councillor kicking around with a grudge against us. |

In Gary's defence I have to say that if there is any work to do, however hard or unpleasant it may be, he is the first to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in. I have seen him clearing the pitch of snow, marking the pitch, having a go at blocked sewers and other 'glamorous tasks'. Wonder how many rugby chairmen would do that? Credit where it is due. |
