Post subject:  Snow Clearance Help

Hi,

I don't want to get into a debate on whether the game should be on Friday, however the fixture is on as it stands. This post is requesting help. I have a few friends (non regulars) coming to watch the game in a combined good Friday drinking session and therefore approached Gary Fawcett to see if he needed some help getting the pitch/terraces match fit.

I have volunteered to help clear remaining snow and we need some volunteers with snow shovels and wheelbarrows.
This will be happening on Thursday morning.

Message me if you can help.

What's the weather like in Keighley? it says in our local paper that more snow and freezing weather is predicted over night. I'm travelling on the Barrow supporters coach on Friday and I'am very much looking forward to this game, hopefully it will go ahead.

It's been snowing most of today, all roads barring the very worst hit on high ground are clear though.

The only way the game will be off is if the pitch/ground is ruled too dangerous.

I have booked a day off work and was going to do a few other things but will turn up and do some shovelling , only problem I do not have either a snow shovel or a wheelbarrow. If someone can provide me with one , I will be down? What time?

Im getting there at 10am and can do a couple of hours.

Gary and a few players are there but the shortage will be of shovels etc. Im sure we can share wheelbarrows between us all. We need anything likely to shift snow, if we dont have enough shovels a bit of plywood would do. Old advertsing boards even! Spades would also be fine for any frozen bits on the terraces maybe?

Im going to make a snowman version of Brendon Hill, should just have enough.

Just left Cougar park; the pitch is 2/3 cleared, the grass is soft underneath and the pitch is being marked out.

If the Rugby Gods talk nicely to the Weather Gods, we will have a game on.

Nice to see Gary, Marchy and a few players and speccies getting stuck in. I've got a bad back now but can still hold a pint
