Just a quick post after talks with one of the directors Peter Spencer and to let " YOU " the fans know whats happening.

There will be a competition for local school children to vote for their favourite player, this will be in the local papers etc. The winning player will be promoted along with the club around Keighley and the surrounding areas on the back of a R Mcdowells urban arctic wagon.

A new company who are supporting the cougars have been instructed to build and update a new club website, this will be going live very soon.

Many people know that I've been quite busy lately in opening my pub The Kings Head and therefore have not had much time to sort out players tunes etc. The time has now arrived where you all have the chance to input your suggestions for players tunes etc and I will get it sorted straight away.

If you have any suggestions please feel free to post and I will go through them all.

Some marketing sounds positive thanks. Matchday experience Get teams/announcements/all talking out of the way at least 10 minutes before kick-off. Before that play tracks from current top ten. Ten minutes before kick-off should be pure music (Same Every match). not too bothered what - others know better than me what will build anticipation but could include Carmina Burana, Two tribes, Vangelis 1492, Final Countdown. Then as Cougars prepare to emerge from tunnel hit the 5-4-3-2-1 etc. Players tunes - whatever they are, bang the music on the instant the ref gives the try. Announcing the tryscorer can come 30 seconds or so later then turn music up again. Bang music on as soon as the final hooter goes. If win say Nothings gonna stop us now, keeping the dream alive & nessun dorma. If lose maybe always look on the bright side & a couple more Keep working on the good work.

Needs speakers sorting out please - cant understand a word you say at the bottom end, I know thats probably not yourself but do need sorting out. Lots of sponsors mentioned thoughout the match . Important notices cannot be heard. Happy music after a try would help. And an even thunderous one after a win. Prior to a match people want to feel happy and this is the place they want to be. Happy songs. Songs to clap to.

Bring back the countdown tune from last season when the team out of the tunnel it's was ace made hairs stand up plus we all knew to start clapping - I'm sure this would have made a difference to the players as well!
Sounds like good things are happening as well
All new marketing is good as this as been non existent so far this season

I remeber we used leader of the pack for rammy why not use it for buster now
gavin duffy: mercy by duffy which we already use
scott law: i fought the law by the clash
brendan rawlins: down under by men at work
danny jones: mr jones talking heads, or the mr jones counting crows one.
andy shickell: monster by the automatic
olly pursglove: good golly miss molly by creedence clearwater revival
jode and jessie sheriffe : i shot the sheriff by bob marley

team entrance music, pefecto allstarz pigbag

just a few ideas.. i hope we can the music back right like mick o neil had it back in days of cougarmania :)

also as goosey queit rightly put get the speakers down bottom end sorted  maybe even try a sponship deal with euronics/pennine plus in town to get the sound sorted

Looking at evryones suggestions and believe it or not some of these are already used. Like I shot the sheriff for the sheriffe brothers and I fought the law is used by danny lawton.

I will have a look at the speakers at the bottom end when I come down next home match and see what the situation is. Euronics/pennine plus however would struggle to provide anything powerful or adequate enough for down here. They are more high end home user equipment than pro audio high power equipment.

I know my son had to learn for weeks how to program the PA system at Cougar park because it is a fully networked digital PA system - very high end. The problem we always have had is all the speakers are on one side of the ground and not all around. If its just a case of the speakers are duff coz of all the weathering then we can take them down and get them reconed.

Dubane - once you've had chance to get the players tunes organised would you post all the players names on here with their tune (or even if you have some gaps) so people could give their last suggestions before you finalise everything? Here's some ideas, i did have the links but thought i'd better not post them this time

Paul March: we like him but opposition supporters think he's bad so how about Bad Romance-Lady Gaga
Any player borrowed from Castleford: Tiger feet-Mud
Richie Barnett: With a name like Rich how about Gold-Spandau Ballet
Paul White: Knights in white satin-Moody blues or Whiter shade of pale-Procul Harem
Gavin Duffy: Gets all over the field especially in defence & goes on weaving runs so how about The Wanderer-Dion
Danny Jones: Cougars welsh international so Deliah-Tom Jones
Elliot Cosgrove: Elliot sounds like Let so how about Lets get ready to rhumble-Ant & Dec (or if he scores in last loan match This could be the last time-Rolling Stones)
Scott Leatherbarrow: From other side of pennines so what about theme from Z cars (Evertons theme tune)
Andy Shickell: All shook up-Elvis Presley
Sean Hesketh - Paddy McGinty's Goat
Ollie Pursglove: Blue suede shoes-Elvis Presley (shoes is nearest i can think of to gloves)
Brendan Rawlins: Down under-Men at work
Any new player without a tune: Telstar-Tornados
