Funnily enough I was on the phone to him the other night  :D

Quote:Keighley Prop forward Dave Emmott (pictured) who has spent most of this year playing in Australia’s New South Wales Country Rugby League is set to return to the Cougars in 2010.

He has been playing with Grafton Ghosts in Group One of the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League in the New South Wales Country Rugby League

Dave said: “I’m having a ball out here in Australia. But I’m looking forward to going home to Cougar Park”.

Cougars head coach Barry Eaton said: “Dave was on the verge of making the first-team squad when he went out to Australia but the experience he’s gained while playing out there won’t have done him any harm.

“Given the experience we’ve had with injuries throughout this season so far we can do with as many quality forwards as we can usefully carry.

“Dave will be very welcome back here at Cougar Park and we look forward to his home-coming”.

Before his departure to Australia Dave was a regular member of the Cougar reserve team.

Yeah, whatever

On a serious note, I have watched Dave through the Cubs and he was outstanding in the Under 18s. If he has developed as he should have done he will be a good 'un.

If he had developed he would be NRL standard perhaps!

League fan perhaps I am misreading your post but it appears that the club are getting a former player back who has gained experience somewhere else and you seem to be making this a negative thing for club and most importantly the player himself.

If this is all you can think of then do not bother posting!!

having kept in touch with big ugly since he went to Aus. I know how much he is enjoying it. Also how much better he knows he has become.

When he comes back i think it will be in the clubs benefit.

Not sure what planet AJ whoever she is is on but this topic entirely different please keep up.

I hope and trust Dave will prove to be a very useful addition to the team.

Having grown up with Dave and played in same team as him for years I know first hand how good he was/is and I am sure he will be a boost to Barry for next season.
