Perhaps I'm not totally on the ball, but what I can't understand is the lack of response to what has been an excellent bit of publicity, not just for the Cougars but the Coop League Level of our sport in general, in the national press.. exactly what the moaners & groaners on this board and to be honest the RFL in general has been crying out for...

Alister Campbells piece was an excellent one , no whippet ,hovis flat cap, n rosy reminders of the past through blinkers , more a thorough' 'tell it as it is'; ,but non the less non stereotypical (and it has to be said compelling ) image of our sport at our level, which seems to be missing in much of today's RL journalism . In short ,a homage to past endevours ,but with the focus firmly in the present & most importantly the long term future for the Cougars.

So are we only happy when we are moaning .... maybe Mr Campbell write a similar impresssive piece on that question .. but then maybe some would still argue......

A great article, a good scoop for the club, but thanks must go to AC, although it must have been strange for him not to have to put any spin on a story or product to make it sound great.

He was very sincere in his summary of his day out at the sacred land!your right though the lack of response from fellow posters has baffled me however some may not have got a copy of the paper or access to the net.

Rach i wonder how many Cougar fans read the times, paper or timesonline?

If people dont then they would know nothing about it. That could be something to do with it.

Thinking positive here, those who know about cougars may not read the times, I don't. So what we are tapping into with a 4 page spread in the times are people who don't know about the cougars or indeed rugby league. Now that is first class publicity.

I have to fully agree with you on this.

I have posted this article on here.

The more people that read it the better.
