can someone from the club confirm the official status on this, as most sporting stadia have banned smoking in the grounds but cougars have not |

Good point, as one of the security people stood by the players tunnel at half time during the York matched and smoked and we had to walk away to ensure the kids did not cop a lung full of cigarette smoke. |

The stand is no smoking. I like the idea of letting people drink in other areas of the ground now and personal I think it should be extended to the stand aswell. Most other ground allow drinking in all areas, why not cougar park?. Any back on topic. I am very surprised a steward was seen smoking infront of the stand. |

If true a steward was smoking in or around the stand i would hope and assume the steward would be moved or advised of the position. |

You are assuming that the smokers can read of course. My experience is that they can't ![]() |

If it bothers you that much why don't you stand somewhere else? After all, there are plenty of open spaces on the terraces at Cougar Park. ![]() |

As far as I`m aware, there isnt a lot of Grounds banning smoking in the stands. Quite a few of my mates who go to the Rugby smoke and get quite confused as to which places allow it and which ones dont. An ideal senario would be a section or corner of each ground, overseen by a Steward, that allows all the Smokers to stand and have a fag especially when the scores get a bit too close ![]() |

Smoking is permitted anywhere EXCEPT the main stand because it is made of wood, now lets see, fire....and wood, hmmmm you do the math duhhhhhh. you can smoke where you like on the terraces which is what a lot of people do, and as for the Steward smoking near the players tunnel, I know you are wrong because the stewards there do not smoke, but the guy on the P.A. does so it might be him you saw smoking. |
