A terrible match official performance, but they have the final say so that's how it goes you just have to accept it but boy did it give me a chance to let rip. Lovely!!!

A raised voices "discussion" with fellow Cougar followers over not supporting the team

The team playing like lost souls at times.

Head down, backside up, one man out plunges in all there glory on a muddy field.

Poor tackling technique which allowed the opposition to run. (Without legs they usually can't! Feather seems to know this.)

Recieving a pass in a static position so that you can be tackled easier.

Have one of the fastest, if not THE , fastest players in the division on the field but make no attempt to utilise his ability ( Shades of Owen Simpson, Terry Morgan, etc., etc.,)

Forget that the 40-20 rule is applicable to rugby league.

Kicking for touch can be for more than 10 metres.

It was just like a timewarp, but that is how I saw the game against York.

In mitigation, the soft ground does not suit Presleys/Jones/Wrays style of play.

All these games over a short period of time may force a need to keep reserves of energy available.

York are not that good a team and the Cougars are far better, and applies to the other teams in Championship One.

Perhaps they need to have the belief instilled in them that they are.

I can't wait for the Cougars to "click" because if they do, some team is in for a right hammering.

The York game and the 15 minutes against Swinton I will put down to abberations so that it will be onwards and upwards with style from now on.

I hope!

I have to agree with you one thing and that does seem to be a lack of kicking game.
As you say we have one of the quickest players on the wing and Gav Duffy is no slouch either
For the life of me i do not understand, why we don't kick down the wings more.

With the speed of these two, it would cause all sorts of problem for the opposite wingers.

we don't kick down the wings more cause Danny Jones doesn't know how to kick, be it for goals, or touch, he just isn't good enough. Give Craig Fawcett a run out, even if he is a bit ring rusty it shows that like Eaton said, he isn't afraid to drop anyone, so it will give Jones a kick up the backside. Also I see shades of the Appleby-Eyres halfback partnership, when I see Fawcett-Presley, At least this will also catch the opposition off guard as they will expect Jones.
