Score line is errelevant every single play should be proud of themselves, I for one am , at half time I was in dreamland , the 20 min spell in the second half was inevitable but all in all Cas knew they'd been in a game, so well done lads I'm very proud to be a Keighley Cougars fan this evening.

Could not agree more Andrew. Well done to the whole team, coaches and club, a great atmosphere and a great game of Rugby. Thanks to CAS for supporting the fixture and good luck throughout the competition and in SL.

If our lads played with the same heads and heart at every match we would be run away winners with this league. 10/10 for every single one of them. Our lads looked fit from start to finish, not a single one of them with their hands on their knees sucking it up and that was not through lack of effort it is just that they seem ready for the season and ready for 80 tough minutes every week. Although I think a couple of wise heads with Cartlidge and Bissell just prior to scrums both going to ground for no real reason but to buy us some breathing space. Ohh ref my boot just came off when I pulled at it! Quality.

Did anyone miss Lowe. Seemed a good team spirit out on that pitch today. Roll on getting Shicks and Brenden back to free up Gunney and Cartlidge and everyone else who is covering as a prop at the moment although they will do well to be first pick with Scott and Biss running so well down the middle.

Roll on York on Friday, they are our bogey team but surely that commitment we saw today will see us put 40 on them. Hey if we can genuinely put 20 on such a good SL side as CAS then we can certainly put 40 on York. We just need to remember to run at Knighty as he doesn't do tackling.

I can only echo what has been already said.
It looks like all the hard work put in before the game paid of.

The team performance was very good. Once again i thought Greg Nicolson(sp) was man of the match.

Big shout from here back in Cas to your team for doing you proud and giving us a very good contest, especially first half and the fans who I thought were excellent.
Keep it up Cou-gars and you'll do well.

Thought you were the better team 1st half and a yard quicker than us.
Who is your 22 thought he had a great game and cant half move.

I think terry matterson gave the team a rocket at half time, we came out with more urgency and played at a faster pace....the sin binning didnt help you guys though, we found bags of space, hence the easy tries.

All in all i thought you gave us a good test and you lot should go well playing like that this season.

Oh by the way...THAT BLOODY DRUM first half, i've still got a headache.
:D

I don't. I just think we came out with an attitude that we could get through the game in second gear. McGoldrick especially wanted to have his backside kick.

That said, the second half was always going to be where we dominated because Keighley would have tired.

That said, I thought it was a thorougly enjoyable game and Keighley didn't fold and tried every trick in the book to catch us off guard. A few Super League clubs could learn from their coaching manual, so a big pat on the back and good luck for the rest of the season.
