I would have thought the obvious stats would be Good Friday attendance for the last few years.

HalifaxCougar wrote:Some on here were saying we will average around 500 this season but were over 900 already....

We've played one match and you're quoting averages already  If you are going to repeat what others have said then you could at least qualify it - I believe the 500 quote was based on what we could expect if we continued to play badly. The attendance against York was boosted by the youth game and the naming of Terry's stand.

HalifaxCougar wrote:2 Cougars fans missed the game, in life you can't please everyone all the time.

What evidence do you base this on? The couple of dozen that post on this site? You must use the same stats man a a politician who wants to "prove a point"

HalifaxCougar wrote:You have to do whats best to make the most cash and pay the staff...

Without being rude, that's pretty obvious.

HalifaxCougar wrote: if we had played at 7.30 infront of 650 who makes up the lost income?

Once again you are making assumptions that suit your argument, we might have played in front of 1200.

Without comparing previous attendance we are both guessing, even then we still don't really know. If the club has done its homework, and have chosen an afternoon kick off because they thought it would improve the crowd then that's all anyone can ask. I still personally prefer Friday night games and would normally have worked friday afternoon, but since I'm lucky enough to work when I choose I could move it. My wife was due to work but took holiday to make the match. We aren't the only ones.

At the end of the day I want the club to be successful, but through good judgement, not a whim.

I have only been wrong once and thats because I thought I was wrong but I was wrong I was right!

Petty authoritarians aren’t man enough to challenge the actions of a person face to face; instead they incite a forum of rumour, innuendo and half truths, and impose rude sanctions to discourage those who dare question fairness.

If all you want is for people to agree with you then perhaps you should.

Fans forums are for debate.

Deep down we both know an evening kick off would have been a lower crowd?

I dont remember any evening crowds being that great for a few years never mind one in this league with 30 away fans.

To end I think its clear to say, decent start to the season played in front of a great crowd. Roll on Hemel except I can't make it.

Soon be Monday.

We'll agree to disagree on that one.

I don't make a point of memorising crowds but I do recall some well attended friday nights and some quiet ones too.

I thought it was a great start to the season in front of a much bigger crowd than I expected. I'll send you a text from Hemel with the result

Your making the high night crowds up. Infact some night ones v Halifax recently have not been much more than Friday's!

Yes it's a shame about the Hamel game, It just doesn't suit me kicking off at half 2 so I am having to miss it. Bit annoying and I may not renew my away season ticket because of it but I shall see.

Move further forward I may have to miss Newcastle too as I have a feeling I will be over the legal driving limit due to a massive game in Glasgow the day before, as were friends now and you are sending me score updates any chance you can pick me up and take me to Newcastle?

Are you any good with a parachute?
